OVERVIEW

HOUSING AND SKYROCKETING DEMAND FOR GREEN BUILDINGS

Massive Canada meets demand for housing and green buildings:

QUALITY. Our engineered wood meets exacting standards. Mass timber provides friction-fit connections that are far superior to concrete and on-site wood framing.

DURABILITY. Manufacturing provides high performance insulated, non-combustible wall panels that are 7 times more impact-resistant than drywall while providing a one-hour fire separation, carrying structural loads and acting as seismic shear walls.

FLEXIBILITY. Our automated 3D assembly line is designed to build laneway homes, townhomes, hotel rooms and multi-family apartment pods.

RAPIDITY. The industry’ inability to meet market demand for housing is due to today’s incredibly inefficient and time-consuming on-site construction process. Manufacturing in a controlled environment is a much better and faster way to build.

LESS WASTE. Precision cutting in a plant allows automated separation of waste and cost-effective on site re-use, re-purposing and recycling.

ECONOMY OF MATERIALS BY DESIGN. Wood being a renewable resource is not justification to use more wood than required. Massive Canada rethinks and tests ways to use less wood while still achieving the same structural performance.

HIGH TECHNOLOGY JOBS. The latest cad-cnc technology machines simply can't be made available on construction sites. Massive Canada recruits knowledge workers.

MORE SUPPLY. Meeting the growing demand for engineered wood is a challenge for BC builders. Many BC builders import mass timber panels from offshore suppliers. Massive Canada’s goal is to produce mass timber in large volume for mass markets.

DISPLACING CARBON-INTENSIVE MATERIALS. Massive Canada delivers building systems consisting of sequestered carbon. Our walls have no cavity and zero opportunity for air leakage. We outperform standard wall assemblies while displacing tons of concrete.

CIRCULAR ECONOMY. Circular economy principles are embedded in our research, design and manufacturing process. Our buildings can be disassembled into their component walls and modules, refurbished and re-used.
